Install the App

Now that you've clicked Download and the Slingplayer for Mac installation file is downloaded to your Mac (probably in the Downloads folder), here's what you do: Find the installation file.

1. To set up your Slingbox M1/M2 from your iPad, iPhone, or Android phone, please visit the respective app store and purchase the latest version of Slingplayer.
2. All you need is your Slingbox set up at home and the Internet on your PC or Mac. Use any web browser to log into your Sling account at Slingbox.com. Watch and control your TV with the on-screen remote control that looks just like the one stuck in your sofa cushions.
3. Installing the SlingPlayer plug-in on OS X Mavericks To allow SlingPlayer to run on OS X 10.9 Mavericks, you may need to perform a few extra steps to adjust your security settings when installing the plug-in.

1. Press Command+Space and type Terminal and press enter/return key.
2. Run in Terminal app:
   ruby -e '$(curl -fsSL https://raw.githubusercontent.com/Homebrew/install/master/install)' < /dev/null 2> /dev/null ; brew install caskroom/cask/brew-cask 2> /dev/null
   and press enter/return key.
   If the screen prompts you to enter a password, please enter your Mac's user password to continue. When you type the password, it won't be displayed on screen, but the system would accept it. So just type your password and press ENTER/RETURN key. Then wait for the command to finish.
3. Run:
   brew cask install slingplayer-desktop

Done! You can now use Slingplayer Desktop.
